The spotlight in the Future of Marine Augmentation

It seems that there is an ongoing debate in the world about the future of the military and how it will deal with issues like maritime autonomy. We already know that unmanned underwater vehicles or UAVs are being used by the Naval Architects and the Marines to perform a variety of different tasks including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as well as surveillance and weather monitoring. These UAVs or remotely piloted vehicles can be outfitted with a variety of sophisticated devices such as cameras, weather monitors and microphones. This gives them a distinct advantage over enemy ships and boats. However, some in the military are worried that autonomous or robotic vehicles will make it easier for enemy agents to jam the signals or interfere with UAVs on-board or destroy the vehicles once they are deployed.

As we look into the future of warfare we are also looking into other applications for marine autonomy. For example, it is being tested right now to put the military's new fire power vehicles to use in a new war game scenario. What will these new games be like?

As you can imagine this new system will be more complex than anything that has been tried before. Some military officials are calling this Marine engineering company the future of fighting. The games that will be played using this new system will require the UAVs to navigate through a complex environment that mimics the natural world and will have to make use of its sensor and camera systems to navigate through it. If you will recall the movie Top Gun, this type of artificial intelligence will be vital in the battle space.

But will this all be too much for the United States Navy? Many believe that it should. After all, it is considered to be one of our best investments. Why mess around with something that is working so well? Will the United States be at a disadvantage because it is using autonomous technologies? Some see this as a way for the United States to protect its greatest asset - its Navy.

Some see this is an attempt by other country to take control of the Western World by having the most advanced military technology. Although we don't know for sure what the Chinese are up to, it would seem obvious that they are watching the UAV technology that we are working on. It is hard to say, but if they are trying to mimic or even surpass us in this area it would certainly be in their best interest.

Personally, I am not too worried about stealing the spotlight here. We have enough. What I do worry about is how our Navy handles things in the future. Will we be able to keep up? In any case, the Chinese are coming and they are very good at copying us. Check out for more info on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_engineering.
